Vordingborg Gymnasium & HF is situated about 90 kilometres south of Copenhagen in a small town of about 10,000 inhabitants. Our students come from quite a large area; some of them live about 50 kilometres from the school. We live in a rural part of Denmark, and the sea is never more than a few kilometres away.
We have about 550 students aged 16-19. Most of them are taking a 3-year general upper secondary course qualifying them for university. About 100 students are taking a 2-year course, which qualifies for a number of medium-length educations and could also lead to university.

The teaching staff consists of about 60 teachers who are all university graduates.

We teach a wide range of subjects within Science, Languages, Social Science, Mathematics etc. Music, Drama, Film and Art are also important parts of many activities.

High academic standards combined with an informal atmosphere are characteristic features of our school.

Our aim is to maintain a caring and open-minded attitude among students and teachers alike. Assistance, counselling, and other resources available, and new initiatives are always welcome.

 Our international outlook is reinforced in our school partnerships in Sweden and France.

Our campus is large and modern and offers a rich variety of sports facilities, a modern theatre, a large cafeteria, and classrooms well-equipped with computers etc.
